John A. Rae
Chief Operating Officer
- 32-year experience in exploration and development of alluvial deposits
- Served various operational roles as President, Exploration Manager and Production Manager across several alluvial gold mining companies
- Oversaw production of 20 alluvial mines in Nevada, Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Mali, DRC and more
- Developed alluvial gold projects from grass roots exploration to commercial production in other parts of Africa, South America, US and Canada

- 16-year experience as a mining and metallurgy engineer with an expertise in the planning and mining execution of metallic and non-metallic deposits, underground and surface mining, the evaluation of mineral resources and reserves, exploration campaigns, R&D, equipment purchasing, and clean exploration technologies
- Worked for Mineros SA, one of the largest alluvial gold mining companies in the world, as well as numerous alluvial projects in the US, South America and Africa

- 37-year experience in exploration geology, mine planning and environmental sciences throughout North and Central America, Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan for diverse minerals and projects
- “Qualified Person” under 43-101 and Competent Person under JORC
- Skilled in exploration, resource/reserve evaluations, mine development, property valuations, due diligence and reporting to stock exchanges worldwide

Originally hardrock silver, with gold discovered in dry alluvial in the Manhattan Gulch riverbed
1900’s
Hardrock gold; alluvial to 300 feet thick were selectively mined by underground methods; Great Depression spurs interest in the region
1930-1940’s
Manhattan Gold Dredging Company builds a large dredge to mine the alluvial gold deposits in 1937-1947; produced 429K oz and was the only operating gold mine in the US during WWII

2010
AU Mines begins a larger alluvial operation but ran into technical challenges in their process circuit
2017
An international team of alluvial experts joint ventures with AUM to form Manhattan Gulch LLC, upscaling the process circuit with gold recoveries over 95%

- Lowest operating costs in the industry with large dredging operations in Colombia mining 100K oz/year with a recovered head grade of 0.07 g/t
- Requires no blasting, crushing or grinding and is chemical-free in its extraction
- Gravel is simply mined with conventional earthmoving equipment and processed through mobile sand and gravels screening plants

OUR MINING TECHNOLOGIES

DRILLS
- We use specialized drill technology to deliver highly accurate and representative samples for use in resource development
- We handle the majority of our exploration and testing in house with third-party oversight
CENTRIFUGAL BOWL
- We use Centrifugal bowls to increase recovery of fine gold by up to 40% compared with conventional recovery methods that can see losses as high as 45%
- This recovery technology, along with conventional methods allow for total recovery of 90%+
DRAG CHAIN CLARIFIER
- We utilize water clarifiers enabling the recirculation of process water up to 93%
- Reduces need to draw water from source, allowing operations in areas with scarce water
- Water usage becoming more scrutinized
DRY WASHER
- Prototype dry washer being constructed and tested on site
- Low unit operation costs allow for successful mining of low grade material, increasing resource utilization
MINING METHODS
- We utilize a concurrent reclamation program when possible
- Power-screening on gravel site reduces amount hauled to processing
