OUR PROVEN MINING HISTORY
OUR PROVEN MINING HISTORY

1800’s
Originally hardrock silver, with gold discovered in dry placers in the Manhattan Gulch riverbed
1900’s
Hardrock gold; placers to 300 feet thick were selectively mined by underground methods; Great Depression spurs interest in the region
1930-1940’s
Manhattan Gold Dredging Company builds a large dredge to mine the placer gold deposits in 1937-1947; produced 429K oz and was the only operating gold mine in the US during WWII

The Manhattan Gold Dredge in action in 1939.

1950-1990’s
Small placer ventures undertaken with great success
2010
AU Mines begins a larger placer operation but ran into technical challenges in their process circuit
2017
An international team of placer experts joint ventures with AUM to form Manhattan Gulch LLC, upscaling the process circuit with gold recoveries over 95%
2018
Fully permitted and bonded area ready to mine at commercial scale

PLACER GOLD MINING ADVANTAGES
PLACER GOLD MINING ADVANTAGES
PLACER GOLD MINING
- Relatively simple process circuit
- No use of chemicals
- No need for blasting
- Simple “truck and shovel” mining
- Easy marketability of product
- Gold can be identified visually
- Permitting is fairly easy and quick
- Labor force is easily trained
- Environmental compliance is minimal
- No potential impacts to surface waters
- CAPEX is low and production is speedy
ALLUVIAL GOLD MINING
- Offers economic advantages compared to hard rock mines
- Very low operating costs due to the fact the gold is already liberated from hard rock in the weathering process
- Typically, costs are $5-10/yd3 ($3-6/ton) and our grades are 0.4-0.8 g/yd3 (0.3-0.5 g/ton)
- Lowest operating costs in the industry with large dredging operations in Colombia mining 100K oz/year with a recovered head grade of 0.07 g/t
- Requires no blasting, crushing or grinding and is chemical-free in its extraction
- Gravel is simply mined with conventional earthmoving equipment and processed through mobile sand and gravels screening plants
- Once screened, the concentrate is sent to the recovery circuit, an area that we have perfected

OUR OPERATIONS
OUR OPERATIONS
CURRENT PRODUCTION
- Production costs between $550-650 / oz of fine gold
- Existing plant capacity of 6,000 tons per day
- Low-cost operation with most capital equipment in place
- Prior mine disturbance making reclamation bonding lower cost
- Plenty of groundwater availability on site for gold processing
- Locally available and qualified work force; community has engaged in mining for over 200 years; State and Federal Agencies support mining industry
- 87-92% average plant recovery from production, resulting in a lower cutoff grade and more production possible
- Run of mine grade averages 0.4-0.6 g/bcy but several zones are over 2-3 g/bcy
COMMERCIAL PLANS TO SCALE
- Target of 1.5K+ troy oz/mo of refined gold within 6 months of initial $10M+ funding
- Acquisition and deployment of additional equipment
- Hiring of additional qualified personnel
- Grow to 4K-5K troy oz/mo of refined gold within 36 months of $25M equity funding
- Additional drilling and permitting
- Increased plant capacity and earth moving equipment

OUR MINING TECHNOLOGIES
OUR MINING TECHNOLOGIES
We have a leading track record as pioneers in placer mining technologies:
DRILLS

- We use specialized drill technology to deliver highly accurate and representative samples for use in resource development
- We handle the majority of our exploration and testing in house with third-party oversight
CENTRIFUGAL BOWL

- We use Centrifugal bowls to increase recovery of fine gold by up to 40% compared with conventional recovery methods that can see losses as high as 45%
- This recovery technology, along with conventional methods allow for total recovery of 90%+
DRAG CHAIN CLARIFIER

- We utilize water clarifiers enabling the recirculation of process water up to 93%
- Reduces need to draw water from source, allowing operations in areas with scarce water
- Water usage becoming more scrutinized
DRY WASHER

- Prototype dry washer being constructed and tested on site
- Low unit operation costs allow for successful mining of low grade material, increasing resource utilization
MINING METHODS

- We utilize a concurrent reclamation program when possible
- Power-screening on gravel site reduces amount hauled to processing
- Reduces our disturbed footprint and keep reclamation bonds low
